Arts & Culture

two girlsGCF’s specific priorities for grantmaking in arts and culture are:

  • Preserve and enhance Greater Cincinnati’s rich arts and cultural heritage and institutions.
  • Increase diversity of arts and cultural offerings and audiences.

Arts and culture are vital to a thriving community and we are fortunate to have unique and vibrant arts organizations in Greater Cincinnati. By working closely with our arts and culture organizations, we’ve seen the following trends and needs.

Please note that what’s listed below is not an exhaustive list of our grants but some highlights of the needs our grants have addressed.

Building an Arts Community
The Lebanon Theatre Company (LTC) provides the community around Lebanon with high-quality, affordable theatre.
Connecting Families through Art
The Behringer-Crawford Museum (BCM) connects community members to their history and cultural heritage through educational programming.
Improving Efficiency
The Ensemble Theatre (ETC) and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) were hindered by outdated ticketing systems.
Strengthening Neighborhoods
The Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) was created by citizens.
