Partners for a Competitive Workforce

adult learnerOur region’s long-term economic success depends on our ability to grow the skills of our workforce. Yet, despite our strong economic assets, our employers are struggling to find skilled workers, while far too many of our residents are unable to secure jobs that provide economic security for themselves and their families.

Partners for a Competitive Workforce, (formerly The Greater Cincinnati Workforce Network), is an ambitious regional partnership of philanthropy, government, employers, education, and community organizations that aims to:

  • Help employers find and retain skilled employees; and
  • Help low-skill, low-income residents further their education and get good jobs.

Partners for a Competitive Workforce was launched by The Greater Cincinnati Foundation in 2008 and is currently managed by United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Major support is provided by the National Fund for Workforce Solutions.
