Making a Difference in Northern Kentucky
The Northern Kentucky Fund of GCF

Since its inception, The Northern Kentucky Fund has been making a positive impact in Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties, helping create a healthy and vital community by enhancing the quality of life for all.

For donors, the Northern Kentucky Fund offers:

  • Simplicity and flexibility in charitable giving
  • Maximum tax advantages
  • The knowledge that the gift will benefit the community in perpetuity

Your tax deductible contributions to the Fund generate earnings that are given back to the community in the form of grants.

The Northern Kentucky Fund provides grants for nonprofit organizations in the three Northern Kentucky counties to help support the critical work that helps the region thrive. Recent grant recipients include:

  • Children, Inc. providing developmental experiences and learning opportunities for children in a variety of settings;
  • Brighton Center creating opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through support services, education and leadership;
  • Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission helping low-income individuals and families with the knowledge, opportunities, and resources to achieve self reliance.
Vision 2015 logoIn 1998, GCF teamed up with local leaders through the Forward Quest initiative (now Vision 2015) to establish The Northern Kentucky Fund of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation. This permanent endowment brought together diverse donors with a common goal of enhancing the quality of life in this community.

Through the contributions of local residents, the leadership of the Fund’s Advisory Board and GCF’s unrestricted funds, grants totaling more than $21,000,000 have been awarded to organizations and programs serving Northern Kentucky.
