GCF Grant Process & Guidelines

Clermont Schools

GCF awards grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations in eight counties: Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren (Ohio); Boone, Kenton, Campbell (Kentucky), and Dearborn (Indiana).

We strive to make the application process as smooth and easy as possible.

Our Grant Process

To begin, please download our Grant Guidelines  and the chart of our new Strategic Grantmaking Framework  to review information about eligibility, funding priorities, limitations, and schedule before contacting GCF. Please take note of our application deadlines and review schedules.

After reviewing our grant guidelines, if you believe your organization meets the outlined qualifications, please submit a Letter of Inquiry or application, as appropriate. Read below to get more information on the types of grants we award.

Priority Grants

Priority Grants

Requests for priority grants are reviewed twice per year. Priority grants may be awarded for program/project support, capital projects, capacity-building and organizational development.

Small Capacity Building/Capital Grants

Small Capacity Building/Capital GrantsCapacity building grants are designed to support our programmatic grantmaking by providing nonprofits with the resources necessary to improve their overall organizational effectiveness. Small capital grants support projects that require a one-time capital investment. LOIs are accepted on a rolling basis and grants are awarded quarterly. LOIs received after the cut-off date for one funding round may be considered for the next funding round. The maximum award amount is $25,000.

Grantwriting Assistance Grants

Grant Writing Assistance Grants

The grantwriting assistance program provides small grants to cover grantwriting services for nonprofits pursuing competitive state and federal grants. Awards will not exceed $3,000, and organizations must have an already-identified specific competitive government grant opportunity to to pursue. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
