With 4C for Children, you can help prepare kids for success in school and life
Children are falling behind. When kids start kindergarten unprepared, they face uphill battles. Research has proven that they are at-risk of not being able to read by third grade and even dropping out of high school.
If our community is going to break the cycle of poverty, it needs to start with the early education our children receive. There is a gap in our community’s ability to provide quality care and early education to our most vulnerable children living in poverty. Ohio’s Step Up to Quality effort standardizes each center’s progression toward better preparing all children for a bright future.
In order to level the playing field for children, 4C for Children is working to increase the number of quality-rated child care programs throughout Greater Cincinnati, including in-home child care providers that play a critical role in the lives of families living in poverty.
Many of these programs provide night shift and weekend care to meet the unique needs of working poor families. 4C coaches help each child care program provide a strong foundation of curriculum, instruction and assessment so children receive a well-rounded experience that prepares them for kindergarten.
An investment here is a way for you to play a pivotal role in helping our most vulnerable children get the best start in life.
