Community Grants

The Greater Cincinnati Foundation awards Community Grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations in eight counties: Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren (Ohio); Boone, Kenton, Campbell (Kentucky), and Dearborn (Indiana).

We strive to make the application process as smooth and easy as possible. Let us know if we can improve on our process.

3 Types of Community Grants

There are three types of grants provided to regional nonprofits through our Community Investment initiatives: Capital Requests, Program Requests and Grantwriting Assistance Grants. Find out more information on our other types of grants. All grants begin with a Letter of Intent (LOI) submitted through GCF's online system. We do not accept unsolicited proposals.

Capital Requests

Capital funding requests are accepted once per year. Generally these requests are for significant investments in a major building renovation, purchase, or capital campaign. These types of requests typically benefit the entire organization. Funding requests must adhere to GCF’s community investment framework.
