(Jan. 18, 2013) - The Greater Cincinnati Foundation announced its most recent grants at a reception on January 15, 2013. The Foundation made 24 grants totaling more than $1.3 million in its seven grantmaking areas

For example, a Health & Wellness grant was made to the Center for Closing the Health Gap to support the Do Right! An Economic Opportunity grant was made to Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati to represent low-income homeowners and tenants at risk of homelessness due to foreclosure. See a complete list of grants at GCF’s website.

GCF also made a $225,000 grant to the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Foundation’s Minority Business Accelerator (MBA). The MBA will accelerate the development of sizable minority business enterprises as well as strengthen and expand the Tristate region’s minority entrepreneurial community.

The reception, held for grant recipients in GCF’s Mashburn Impact Center, provides an opportunity for nonprofits to make connections and share their work. See the photos on GCF’s Flickr feed.
