As the holidays approach, more than 100 families in three inner-city Cincinnati neighborhoods have a stronger sense of housing stability in their lives, thanks in part to the 2017 expansion of a tenant advocacy program by Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) in three Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) elementary schools. Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF), in partnership with our donors, granted $40,000 to HOME’s Housing Stability Program for At Risk Students this past year and has been supporting it since 2014.

Meet Harold

Harold Brown, Greater Cincinnati Foundation’s Vice President, Community Strategies, lives in Springdale with his adorable wife Gwendolyn (supervisor at SW Ohio Council on Aging), son Christopher (sophomore at St. Xavier HS), and Bentley (goldendoodle). A native of Oxford, Ohio, Harold also has three adult stepchildren and five granddaughters, who affectionately call him “Pa-Pa.”

It’s important to make sure that year-end planning doesn’t get lost in the rush, and Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) is here to help keep your charitable giving on track.

Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate is a full-time non-exempt position that functions as part of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation’s (GCF) Financial Services and Grant Services Teams. This position provides excellent service to GCF donors, grantees, staff and professional advisors by providing the highest level of timely and accurate financial records, reports and analytics. The Accounting Associate works under the direct leadership of the Controller but also works for the Senior Grants Manager. The Accounting Associate works closely with the Senior Grants Manager and the Staff Accountant, who review much of the work prepared by the Accounting Associate. In addition, the Accounting Associate works collaboratively with GCF staff in other departments to provide support for gifts, grants, and accounts payable.

Sr. Development Officer

The Development Director elevates the efforts of the Women’s Fund team by strategizing and executing a comprehensive development program incorporating a broad range of fundraising strategies including prospect identification, donor cultivation and stewardship, annual fund giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving. In addition, the Development Director represents the Women’s Fund in the community by responding to requests for presentations to employer resource groups, boards and other cohorts. These presentations serve the purpose of educating the community about our work and building our database of prospective supporters.
