Virtual Platform
The virtual Phase 1 Workshop is a two-day session that is designed to develop the capacity of participants to better understand racism. This workshop presents a historical, cultural, and structural analysis of racism. With shared language and a clearer understanding of how institutions and systems have produced unjust and inequitable outcomes, participants should leave the training better equipped to begin to work for change.
We request that participants be engaged and committed throughout the Phase 1 Racial Equity Matters workshop. Unlike Groundwater, this is an interactive seminar and we request that you be willing to keep your cameras on and be vulnerable throughout the conversation. We also request that if you commit to the training, that you commit to the two full days.
This training is offered for $75.00. This is the subsidized cost per ticket, thanks to our sponsors, and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. There will be several short breaks offered throughout the two days of training as well as an hour long lunch. Participants are expected to engage with others and to have their webcam on in these virtual trainings.
