Spearheading this work at GCF is Ron Stubblefield, Director of Housing and Place-Based Initiatives. Stubblefield has recently been awarded a scholarship to attend the 2026 Just Economy Conference, hosted by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) in Washington, D.C.

The Just Economy Conference is one of the nation’s leading convenings focused on housing, community development finance, and equitable economic development. Each year, it brings together leaders from foundations, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), financial institutions, nonprofits, and government agencies to share strategies for expanding access to capital, strengthening neighborhood investment, and building more inclusive regional economies.

Stubblefield’s participation will give GCF the opportunity to connect with national partners and explore emerging strategies around housing production, catalytic capital, and community development finance that can help strengthen Greater Cincinnati’s housing ecosystem.

As communities across the country work to address housing supply challenges and expand economic opportunities, gatherings like the Just Economy Conference provide a space for regional leaders to exchange ideas and strengthen the partnerships needed to move solutions forward.
