Cincinnati, (January 16, 2026) — Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) is partnering with the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation to make concentrated investments in the areas that make Northern Kentucky a vibrant place to work, live, and experience. This investment of more than $1 million aims to help bring more jobs to the region, create housing that people can afford, expand early literacy rates among children, and support other important community needs.
Investments to create a stronger Northern Kentucky region include:
- $500,000 over five years to The Catalytic Fund to mobilize $25 million in lending capital, financing the creation and rehabilitation of more than 1,000 local housing units that individuals and families can afford.
- $100,000 to the newly opened SparkHaus for renovation costs. SparkHaus, a 50,000 square-foot office space, supports entrepreneurs and innovators in the creation of new jobs and regional economic opportunities.
- $475,000 to nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life for Kentuckians: Northern Kentucky Area Development District, NKY Works, NKY Education Council, Educate NKY, The Carnegie, Pones, Inc., The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky, The Ion Center for Violence Prevention, and Samaritan Car Care Clinic.
“These investments, spurred by funding from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation Northern Kentucky Fund of GCF, are all about supporting the physical and social fabric of Northern Kentucky,” said Matthew Randazzo, president and CEO at GCF. “By helping families find homes they can afford, making sure people have good jobs and creative outlets, and setting kids up for success in school, we’re investing in what really matters—the health and well-being of everyone in Northern Kentucky. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to make these investments, while also honoring the incredible legacy of Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile.”
“This partnership with GCF is a prime example of the power of shared efforts – illustrating what’s possible when philanthropy, developers, civic leaders, and community champions work in alignment to create large-scale, sustainable impact,” said Bernard McKay, president and chief executive officer at the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation.
Both organizations are building on long-term investments and relationships made over the course of decades in the river cities, carving out a bright path forward, creating change you can see.
