ACLA March 2024: Celebrating Graduates & Appointees!

What a way to kick off Women’s History Month! Thank you to everyone who gathered on March 2 for the fourth session of our Appointed Civic Leadership Academy to learn, share, and celebrate together!

Our thanks to GCF Chief Philanthropy Officer Sarah Weiss, Cincinnati Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus, and Cincinnati City Manager Sheryl Long for bringing their energy and insights to start the morning’s celebration. Congratulations to the first 11 ACLA graduates as well as the more than 37 Appointed members who were selected to serve on local boards and commissions in 2023!

Dr. Kim Conger held a powerful lecture and discussion on DEIA for boards. Our Leadership Council Chair, Tammy Bennett, moderated a fantastic panel comprised of Lydgia Sartor, Emily Woerner, Brandy Jones, and Tricia Williams. Thank you to all of you for sharing your wisdom and experience with us!
