Congratulations to Meghan Cummings on her new role with CFLeads!

February 8, 2024

Congratulations to Meghan Cummings, former Executive Director of the Women’s Fund (2015-2022) and current VP of Civic Advancement for the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, on her selection as the new Senior Vice President of Strategy, Impact and Operations for CFLeads!

Meghan began her tenure with the Women’s Fund as our Development Officer in 2011, one of the first two staff hired by the Fund’s Executive Director. She went on to serve as Assistant Executive Director and accepted the role of ED in 2015.

Under Meghan’s leadership, the Women’s Fund team and impact grew. Our research efforts expanded with Pulse studies, Cliff Effect research, and the three-part Black Women’s Economic Mobility Project. We studied gender diversity on boards and commissions, leading to the launch of the Appointed initiative and the creation of the Women’s Fund Advisory Board, a group of everyday experts who advise our work and inform our research and advocacy efforts. The Women’s Fund’s grantmaking capacity grew with the endowment of generous legacy gifts, and Meghan shifted the grantmaking power to the Advisory Board, empowering those who know the needs of the community most intimately to drive systems change.

Our partnerships and collaborations expanded under Meghan’s leadership as well. The Women’s Fund supported the formation of and provided leadership for the City of Cincinnati Gender Equality Task Force, supported the development of the Hamilton County Commission on Women & Girls, and successfully advocated for the passage of Cincinnati’s Salary History Ban.

In her new role with CFLeads, Meghan will be working with community foundations across the country, partnering with them to embrace racial equity, amplify community voice, and drive systems and policy change.

We couldn’t be more excited for Meghan as she steps into this new opportunity to help build better, more equitable communities. The Women’s Fund sends Meghan our best wishes and deep gratitude for her years of service and leadership, and we’re certain this will be a phenomenal next chapter!
