Gibson to interview Soledad O’Brien at the Women’s Fund ‘A Conversation With…’ event

Charisse The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation has selected Charisse Gibson as the interviewer for its 2019 signature event “A Conversation With”.

Charisse Gibson is an Emmy-nominated television news anchor, reporter and host at FOX 19 NOW. She is also host and executive producer of “Cincinnati Connection,” a public affairs show that explores social and community issues throughout the Tri-State. As the most recent President of the Greater Cincinnati Association of Black Journalists, Charisse led a group of more than 40 black journalists in the community. She has been called a top influencer in the Greater Cincinnati region by Cincy Magazine but she touts herself as a community advocate and mentor to young journalists in the community.

Gibson will interview award-winning journalist, entrepreneur and philanthropist Soledad O’Brien who is the speaker for the Women’s Fund “A Conversation With” event taking place on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the Cintas Center.

“Charisse’s background in journalism offers our supporters a new opportunity to glean insights into Soledad’s story. Her ability to effortlessly switch from hard news to lifestyle made her the natural choice to complement Soledad’s impressive body of work,” said Meghan Cummings, executive director of the Women’s Fund.

A Conversation with Soledad O’Brien will take place Thursday, April 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cintas Center, 1624 Herald Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207.

General admission tickets are $50 each and will go on sale on February 14, 2019. Host and hostess tickets are $250 each and include a private reception with O’Brien. They are on sale now at www.cincinnatiwomensfund.org. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available.

All proceeds benefit the Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Women’s Fund created “A Conversation With…” as a signature event in 2012 to highlight a female history maker to speak in an intimate setting – where she can share her journey, her triumphs, and her obstacles. Previous speakers have included Dr. Mae Jemison, Abby Wambach, Cokie Roberts, Lisa Ling, U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe, Phyllis S. Sewell and Marian Spencer.
