Our Staff

Lori Beiler
Senior Manager of Grants

Lori's responsibilities include daily contact with donors to facilitate their grantmaking, including processing all donor advised, designated and scholarship grants and supervising the entire grants management process for GCF. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lori worked in sales and special education. 

Michele Hoffman Carey, CAP®
Senior Giving Strategies Officer

Michele works with estate planning attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, wealth managers, and investment advisors to help their clients make the most of their charitable giving, with a focus on assisting professional advisors in Northern Kentucky. She also helps people in the community understand how GCF can help them meet their charitable goals. Before joining GCF, Michele worked at The Chicago Community Trust and was most recently on the development team The Children’s Home of Cincinnati.

Ellen M. Katz

As the head of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Ellen believes helping you most effectively invest your charitable resources in the areas for which you are most passionate is the engine of our work. Read more in her letter. She joined GCF in May 2015. Ellen had previously been President & CEO of The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. 

Robert Killins, Jr.
Director of Giving Strategies

Robert works on growing the Foundation’s donor base. He leads GCF’s impact investing work and guides The Thomas J. Emery Memorial. Prior to joining GCF, Robert worked at Procter & Gamble for 24 years.

Phillip P. Lanham, CAP®
Vice President of Donor Relations

Phillip is responsible for managing GCF’s overall donor relations program including cultivation and stewardship. He also works directly with individual and family donors to help achieve their charitable giving goals and build a better community. Prior to joining GCF, Phillip spent 12 years in advancement at the University of Cincinnati. 

Laura Menge, CAP®
Giving Strategies Officer
Laura helps donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and maximize their community impact by tailoring charitable solutions. She feels privileged to work at the intersection of generosity and mission. Previously, Laura worked in Development at Boston Children’s Hospital and at a family foundation in Washington, DC.
Norah Mock, CFRE
Director of Donor Relations

Norah develops and strengthen relationships to help donors optimize their philanthropy, accomplish their philanthropic goals and maximize their community impact. Previously, Norah was the director of development and operations at The Christ Hospital Foundation. 

Mary R. Pitcairn
Giving Strategies Officer
Mary has worked closely with GCF donors since 1999. She assists donors based on their individual needs, interests and priorities, from planning the gift, through selecting grant recipients, to creating lasting good works in their communities. She is grateful for the chance to help charitably minded individuals support the issues and causes they care about most. 
Suzanne M. Rohlfs, J.D., CAP®
Director of Development and Professional Advisor Relations

Suzanne works with local attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors in facilitating and understanding GCF’s capabilities. She assists advisors in developing and implementing charitable giving plans, helping their clients make the most of their giving. Suzanne formerly practiced law in the areas of estate planning and probate and worked in the gift planning arena.
